Whether served at a Wall family potluck, dinner, or just as a snack, my “Dream Beans” never fail the tastebuds. Thus the name “Dream Beans”! They’re so delicious and so easy to make, which is great since as a busy mom I dont have hours and hours to cook a meal. I’m a huge fan of “throw it all in the pot” recipes and “Dream Beans” are just that! Quick, easy, delicious and good for you.
Ingredients:
1- 12 oz bag of green beans
1/2 Chopped onion
1/2 Chopped bell pepper
1/4 Chopped tomato
1 Minced or thinly sliced garlic clove
Organic bacon bits (optional)
Smoked Olive Oil
Chicken broth or Vegetable broth
Worcestershire Sauce
Instructions:
Drizzle 2 tbsp smoked olive olive oil in pan on med high temp.
Add chopped onions, bell pepper, garlic and sautée for 2 minutes, then add green beans and tomato.
Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and a splash of worcestershire sauce. Toss until sautéed veggies and green beans are completely mixed. Add 1 cup of chicken broth and cover. Let simmer on med heat for 8 minutes or until green beans meet your preference of firmness.
You can remix this recipe by sprinkling a bit of organic bacon bits on top before you cover and let simmer (bacon flavor seriously kicks it up a notch). You can also use this exact same recipe with brocollini instead of green beans too!
Enjoy,
Crys Wall
