What do you choose when you’re thirsty? When you need energy? When you’re chillin’? When you want to be healthy? Water, of course! Surprised? Here’s the scoop.
Secret Slimming Weapon!
Weight Loss Trick: Water is great when you’re fighting the fat and you get the munchies. Don’t bother wasting your money on fattening snacks. Instead, feel rich and help yourself to a tall glass of cold water. Water helps fill you up but does not have calories, sugar, or fat. You can have as much as you want without gaining weight. Plus, it’s safer than diet pills.
Bloating Is Not Cool: We all feel bloated sometimes, but water can rescue you! Here’s the low-down. When you don’t drink enough, your body starts to panic. Your body thinks that it needs to retain water, or hold onto all of the water that is inside of you. This bloating may make you feel tired, heavy and definitely not sexy! So when you start to feel bloated, grab a water bottle and drink up.
Burn a Few Calories: If you want that toned, sexy body, you’re gonna have to break a sweat. Water keeps you going strong whether you’re working, grooving, or pumping iron. If you don’t drink enough, you’ll get tired, and you may even get muscle cramps. That’ll really cramp your style!
Strut Your Stuff!
Sexy Smile: White teeth and soft lips give you a sexy smile and make you feel rich. Water keeps your mouth clean so that your teeth stay white and strong. Do you know how to get soft, full lips to finish off that perfect smile? Of course! If you get dehydrated, your lips will be cracked and dry. So drink up and get ready for some good kissing!
Skin and Hair: Soft, smooth skin and shiny, healthy hair are irresistible invitations to be touched. You may already have a regular skin and hair care routine that works for you, but here’s a tip. Your favorite lotions, moisturizers, shampoos and conditioners work better when you drink enough water.
So How Much Do You Need?
You need about 9 to 13 8-ounce cups of water each day. This is the amount in about 4 or 5 20-ounce bottles from vending machines. You need more when you are active or the weather is hot. Of course, you don’t have to drink bottled water. Tap water is just as good for you and it’s better for the environment. How cool is that?
That’s So Much! This may seem like a lot of water, but you’re probably drinking nearly that much already. A few small changes can get you to your goals. You can drink an extra cup with meals and make sure to drink before and after exercising. Keep a water bottle in your car, desk or locker. Want to set a trend? Show your style and decorate a reusable water bottle with logos of your favorite hip-hop artists.
